Focus & Scope

The Journal of Early Childhood Education (JAUD) focuses on the development and dissemination of knowledge and best practices related to the education and development of young children (0-8 years old). The primary focus of this journal is in-depth research on various aspects influencing the holistic development of children, including cognitive, social-emotional, physical-motor, language, and moral-religious development. JAUD encourages contributions that explore innovations in early childhood teaching methodologies, the development of relevant curricula, and the role of supportive learning environments, both in formal settings like early childhood education centers (PAUD) and kindergartens (TK), and informal settings such as families and communities.

The scope of this journal is broad, encompassing various contemporary issues in early childhood education. Relevant topics include, but are not limited to, stimulating child development through educational play, early literacy and numeracy, inclusive education for children with special needs, classroom management in early childhood education institutions, and assessment and evaluation of child development. The journal is also open to research examining the role of technology in early childhood education, child nutrition and health, child protection, and public policies related to early childhood well-being and education. An interdisciplinary approach is highly encouraged, involving perspectives from developmental psychology, pedagogy, sociology, nutritional science, and public health.

Through the publication of scholarly articles, JAUD aims to be a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, educators, and policymakers to share original research findings, innovative ideas, and best practices that can contribute to improving the quality of early childhood education and care. The journal welcomes various types of manuscripts, including empirical research articles, case studies, systematic literature reviews, and conceptual articles that make significant contributions to theory and practice in the field of early childhood. It is hoped that JAUD can become a primary reference that enriches the body of knowledge and advances best practices in early childhood education in Indonesia and globally.
