Open Access Statement

The Journal of Early Childhood Education (JAUD) fully adopts an Open Access model for all its published content. This means that all scholarly articles published in JAUD are freely and immediately available for anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to their full texts, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those associated with internet access itself. We believe that unrestricted access to research findings will accelerate new discoveries, foster broader scientific collaboration, and enhance the visibility and impact of published works. We are of the conviction that research, especially that with high social value, should be accessible to all interested parties.

JAUD's commitment to open access aligns with the definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for users to be able to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of any articles. This also includes the ability to crawl them for indexing, pass data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining internet access itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, is to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited. Therefore, JAUD does not charge subscription fees or pay-per-view fees to readers.

JAUD's open access model is supported by the fact that authors retain copyright over their work, while articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits maximum reuse and distribution, provided that proper attribution is given to the original authors. This open access statement affirms JAUD's dedication to facilitating equitable and efficient knowledge dissemination, empowering the global scholarly community, and ensuring that research in the field of early childhood can be widely accessed and utilized for the advancement of science and society.
