Jurnal Mediasi Hubungan Internasional upholds publication integrity and the reliability of the scholarly record. Therefore, article withdrawal is only permitted under exceptional circumstances and with very strong justification. Once an article has been submitted, authors are expected not to withdraw it from the review process unless there is a critical and uncorrectable error. Withdrawing a manuscript after acceptance or during the peer review process can cause significant disruption to the editorial workflow and review process, as well as waste the time and resources of reviewers. We encourage authors to ensure the originality, completeness, and readiness of their manuscripts prior to submission to minimize the need for withdrawal.
If an author feels it is necessary to withdraw a manuscript, they must immediately contact the Editor-in-Chief or Journal Secretariat in writing, explaining the reasons for the withdrawal in detail. Withdrawal requests will be evaluated by the editorial team. It is important to note that withdrawal will not be permitted once the manuscript has been published online, whether in early view or final issue form. In very rare cases, where serious errors or ethical violations are detected after publication (e.g., previously undetected plagiarism, data manipulation, or redundant publication), the article will be subject to retraction, rather than withdrawal. Retraction is a more formal and serious step, and a retraction notice will be clearly published to inform readers.
An administrative fee may be charged for article withdrawals made after the manuscript has passed the initial peer review stage or after typesetting has been completed, as compensation for the time and resources invested. Jurnal Mediasi Hubungan Internasional is committed to supporting strict and transparent publication ethics practices. This article withdrawal policy is designed to ensure that the scholarly record remains accurate, reliable, and that the editorial process is respected. Authors should fully understand this policy before submitting their manuscripts.
