Publication Ethics

The Wustho Journal: Islamic Communication holds a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of publication ethics. We adhere to guidelines set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expect all parties involved—authors, editors, and reviewers—to strictly abide by these principles. Academic integrity is at the core of our mission, and we are dedicated to preventing all forms of publication misconduct, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate or redundant publication, and undisclosed conflicts of interest. Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality and accuracy of the data presented, as well as for confirming that their research was conducted ethically and obtained necessary approvals if involving human or animal subjects.

In the review process, editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, objective, and timely peer review process, and for maintaining the confidentiality of reviewed manuscripts. They must also avoid personal conflicts of interest. Reviewers play a crucial role in evaluating the scientific quality and integrity of manuscripts. They are expected to provide constructive and unbiased criticism, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and maintain the confidentiality of information gained during the review process. Any indication of ethical misconduct will be thoroughly investigated in accordance with COPE procedures, and appropriate actions will be taken, including manuscript rejection, publication retraction, or notification to the author's institution.

Wustho Journal believes that strong publication ethics practices are essential for maintaining public trust in science and for ensuring that the scholarly literature is an accurate and reliable record. We encourage open communication and collaboration in addressing ethical concerns. By implementing these stringent ethical standards, we aim not only to publish high-quality research but also to foster an environment where scientific integrity is respected and upheld by the entire community involved in the Wustho Journal: Islamic Communication.
