Journal Metrics

The Journal of Islamic Education Management (JIEM) continuously monitors and analyzes various journal metrics to evaluate its performance, impact, and relevance within the scientific community. These metrics provide a quantitative overview of how published articles are received and utilized by other researchers. One of the primary metrics we observe is the number of citations received by JIEM articles from other publications. A higher number of citations indicates that the journal's content is considered valuable and influential in the development of knowledge in Islamic education management. We regularly monitor citation metrics through platforms like Google Scholar Citations, which provide real-time data on citation impact.

In addition to citations, JIEM also tracks article download statistics. This metric shows how often articles are accessed and downloaded by readers, which can indicate the interest and relevance of the topics discussed. Download data is typically available through the journal's online platform and repositories that index JIEM. Another important metric is the speed of the editorial process, from manuscript submission, through peer-review, to editorial decisions and publication. While not a direct impact metric, the efficiency of this process reflects the journal's commitment to good service for authors and reviewers, and ensures timely publication. We strive to maintain reasonable review times without compromising quality.

To reflect the cumulative impact of the journal, JIEM also considers the journal's h-index and journal's g-index, calculated from citation databases such as Google Scholar. These metrics provide an aggregate view of the productivity and citation impact of all published articles. Although these quantitative metrics are important, JIEM also emphasizes qualitative impact, such as the contribution of articles to education policy, management practices in Islamic educational institutions, and broader academic discussions. Through monitoring these metrics, JIEM endeavors to continuously enhance editorial quality, attract the best contributions, and strengthen its position as a primary reference source in the field of Islamic education management.
