Open Access Statement

The Journal of Islamic Education Management (JIEM) proudly adopts a full Open Access model for all its published content. This means that, immediately upon publication, all scholarly articles featured in JIEM are made freely and openly available to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to their full texts, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inherent in gaining internet access itself. This principle is rooted in the belief that unrestricted access to scientific research findings accelerates discovery, promotes broader knowledge exchange, and enhances the visibility and impact of published works. We believe that publicly funded research or research of high social value should be accessible to everyone.

JIEM's commitment to open access aligns with the definition of the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which advocates for free user access to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of any articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself. The only constraint on reproduction and distribution, and the only role for copyright in this domain, is to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly acknowledged and cited. Thus, JIEM does not charge subscription fees or pay-per-view fees to readers.

JIEM's open access model is supported by the fact that authors retain copyright over their work, while articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits maximum reuse and distribution, as long as proper attribution is given to the original authors. This open access statement affirms JIEM's dedication to facilitating equitable and efficient knowledge dissemination, empowering the global scholarly community, and ensuring that research in Islamic education management can be widely accessed and utilized for the advancement of science and society.
